We all started the tour at Hewins Sawmill, where we were treated to a continential breakfast. We would like to thank
Hewins Sawmill for their hospitality before and after the tour. We were allowed to look around the sawmill in the morning
but did not actually tour the sawmill until the end of the day, at which time they also taught us about grading lumber. Then
we went to Marty Hewins Tree farm where he talked about establishing a tree farm and the ups and downs that go with owning
a tree farm. He also spoke about different ideas and strategies that he uses for weed control. We all enjoyed the tour, getting
reaquainted with old friends and making new friends. Thank you once again Marty Hewins for all you did in making this tour
a success.
